Best suited for: team building events, interaction and different stations, engagement with food, client appreciation

Capacity

  • 40 people seated theatre style, but tight to have in kitchen all at once
  • 120 reception style comfortably
  • Can have access to entire space including kitchen, especially for demonstrations or cooking classes
  • 2 hour reception events work best in the space
    • Nothing later than 10pm
  • Available weeknights and weekends

Rental rates

  • Space can only be available after 2pm due to classes
  • On-site staff will setup the space as required
  • Min. group size = 8 people, rate is $160 per person
  • Cost then changes depending on group size
  • Price per person includes everything (catering, room rental, AV, staff, linen)
  • A reception would cost about $70-80 per person + drinks

Furnishings/ equipment

  • Cocktail rounds and 8’ banquet tables on site
  • Coat racks available for use

Catering

  • Can do action stations (rotisserie, sushi, cupcake icing, etc.) with guests
  • Built-in and marked off stations: rotisserie, braise, saute, bakery,
  • Licensed for alcohol sales; can do host or cash bar
  • Can customize menus to fit needs

AV

  • PowerPoint presentations do not work well in space due to noise and poor sight lines for a large audience
  • Would need to rent a screen a projector
  • Good PA system built-in
  • Wireless handheld and lapel mic available
  • Can connect an iPod or other device for ambience music

Parking

  • Street parking is free after 6pm
  • Nearby parkades: The Core, Bankers Hall

Sustainability

  • Recycle deep-fry oil, compost foods
  • Control food production to ensure minimal leftovers

Other considerations

  • 2 unisex bathroom facilities available
  • Accessible; no stairs, only ramps. Can take an elevator up from the main (7th Ave) entrance to the second floor of the building
  • Typically host oil & gas firms, law firms, etc. in a 3-4 block radius
  • Security escorts can be arranged for events that run into the evening
